I am upgrading my server OS from RH7.3 and I am considering CentOS 4.4 based on some recommendations. Is there anything I should watch out for?

Our sites are mostly corporate sites with little site activity, mostly php/mysql driven sites and will be installing RoR.

the best way is to reload the os.

    1. backup sites
    2. install centos and cpanel
    3. restore backups

Make certain your hardware is compatible with CentOS. I've had a few motherboards with incompatible Via SATA chipsets, requiring I either use IDE or off-board controller (granted these were purely for testing purposes, but it did surprise me since other distros work fine on the same hardware).
