upgrading kernel

    I am going to upgrade Kernel . May I install any kernel version (for example last version available) ? It will work with cpanel ?

    The kernel is completely independent of the cpanel software- yes you can install the latest 'n greatest kernel, and cpanel will still function.

    no worries there.
    the *only* thing you might have an issue with is quota support, but that is independent of cpanel as well, to some extent.

    suggest if you never upgraded a kernel before to do it on a dead machine so you get use to it...its not rocket science but it is complicated for newbies and your machine will not boot back up if you screw it up
