I need domxml. Domxml need libxml2 and optionally libxslt. The lib* libraries currently used by CPanel/WHM are relative old. I tried to upgrade with rpm to the newest versions, but the newes libxml2 needs a newer glibc. This newes glibc is not available as rpm for Red Hat 7.3, only for 8.0.

How wise is it to upgrade the software without WHM? Do I get into trouble if I update it manually with (or without) rpms?

Where can I find more infos about that?
