    I have been trying to solve this issue for a long time, but cannot figure it out. Urchin shows no stats! I have browsed the forums and tried everything I saw, but to no avail. I am running RH and cPanel / WHM.

    Under WHM -> Tweak Settings -> Stats... Here are my settings:

    EVERYTHING is unchecked (I would like to have awstats and webalizer, but crappy cPanel messes them up to), EXCEPT:

    "Delete each domain's access logs after stats run" AND
    "Exim Stats Daemon (required for smtp bandwidth logging; must also be modified in the service manager as well)"

    For the entered values, here are my settings:

    Chmod value for raw apache log files: 0644
    Number of days between processing log files ... 1
    Stats Log Level ... 1
    The load average above the number of cpus at which logs ... 0 (have set this to 10 too)

    Side note, when I login to urchin and hit "run" this is displayed on the page "Warning! Task scheduler disabled. " (this is a relatively new development).

    For one day, processing of log files did work, but now they do not (despite me making no setting changes). The sites log files are small and they have not exceeded any quotas (all unlimited). When I run /scripts/runstats once it outputs the following:

    This script requires cPanel 6.4.2 Build 11+
    ==> Loading Config (cpanellogd) .... Done
    Urchin webserver is not running
    Urchin scheduler is not running
    Error changing back to the working directory. Exiting.
    ==> cpaneld(logger) 8.0 Starting (1 processor system).....
    ==> Shared RRDTOOL support enabled
    ==> Ignoring lastrun files and running all stats now
    ==> cpanellogd will exit after stats have run

    ALL this program does is erase my log files... Logs were never generated for awstats or webalizer (when I had them "enabled") and stats only worked for one day with urchin.

    Does anyone have a solution?

    There is also another error in this program.... When I click on "Latest Visitors," it shows NO visitors despite there being many visitors and a log file to prove it.

    Thanks for the reply, but I do not understand... I can login to urchin and urchin is started. I use this command:

    /usr/local/urchin/bin/urchinctl start

    The reason why the output said that urchin was not started (in the previous post) is because the script turns off urchin and I had run it twice.

    Does anyone know how to get Urchin to work?

    First make sure all the domains you want stats to run on have a corresponding log file associated with it in Urchin administration. The domain and any subdomain stats should point to the /usr/local/apache/domlogs/...domainlogfile that correponds with that domain.

    Now to really run full stats on your server do this in root shell:
    /scripts/runlogsnow
    tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/stats_log

    Depending on how many accounts and how much is going on in these accounts will determine the length of this function, sometimes it may take up to an hour to run but it will update every stats program on your server as long as the domlog files are not corrupt. You may want to delete all files in the domlogs folder to start fresh. NOTE: This will not delete any previously recorded stats.

    When using these commands to run stats the Urchin scheduler is stopped which is a cpanl thing but you can restart the Urchin server with the following:
    cd /usr/local/urchin/bin
    ./urchinctl restart

    I read in another post about how cpanel stops Urchin, do a search and read.

    just a thought

    Are you looking at Urchin via teh admin panel and seeing 0's?

    I was told that cpanel takes over ant store files elswhere so you can only view by going into the individual accounts - not sure if correct - but it is not 0;s in there.
