urgent help needed with changing domain names

Hi.

I have purchased a new domain name. I have changed the name servers with the domain registrar to point to the hosting server.

However, this has not worked. Im guessing this is because the old domain name is still being used. So can someone please advise me on what i can do?

How do i swap the domains around. Also, i would like to if possible, keep the old name and use a 301 redirect. So i dont want to completely remove it.

I have sent several emails, + telephone calls to the hosting provider and have not been able to get hold of anyone.

Your help would be greatly appreciated

You could ask your host to modify the account in WHM to reflect the new domain name as your primary domain name, and/or you could just use the addon/parked domain options if they are available to you to add your new domain to your account.

Hi. unfortunately i cannot contact my host. I have sent several emails including phone calls but i am still unable to get a response.

I searched for addon/parked domain options in the control panel but could not find this feature.

Any other sugguestions??

Sounds like it is time to find a new host. The parked domains should be in cPanel and WHM. Possibly the account you bought does not have that resource without paying extra??
