the trash is empty. But looking at the statistics it shows the count of the numbers of the email accounts but the emails cannot be traced within the file manager.

Hello,

Do you have any backups of the account available? Also, do you have root access to the system or is this a shared hosting account?

Thank you.

We have an old server containing the email accounts we migrated from. But no backup on the current server
You won't be able to recover missing emails if you do not have backups of the account. It's possible someone accessed the email accounts using POP3, and thus the emails were downloaded onto the local email client and removed from the server. The following document lists the directories where email data is stored should you want to try recovering the data from the old server:

How to Manually Migrate Accounts to cPanel from Unsupported Control Panels - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation

Thank you.

New on the statistic we can see the count of email addresses created on the server.
Could you confirm if you are attempting to restore the actual email accounts, or the email data contained within the email accounts? If this is for the email accounts, did you perform any specific actions before noticing the email accounts were missing?

Thank you.

Yes we have just restored one of the email data but we still can't access the email account from the GUI. The data is also not visible in the mail directory that it was transferred to, we can only view it as hidden.

Hi,

How did you restore the email data? Did you restore it in the proper place to be able to accessible? I think you did not restore it properly because the moment you restore it in the proper place the mails start displaying in the web mail..

Exactly where did you restore it?
