Is it possible to use an Apache module (in my case CAS but let's keep it simple and say basic authentication) to control access to cPanel's website owner control panel pages on cpanelserver.com:2083? If possible, I'd like to use the same Apache authentication to also control access to 2087 for administrator and reseller access too, but that's secondary.

    Thank you,
    PH

    Hi pthirose,

Ideally I think you can achieve this with the help of .htaccess file for the desired authentication to login to cpanel but will you please explain a little more so that we can have the fix for it.

To allow Apache authentication, you will need to set this to "On" in WHM > Tweak Settings:

The default is "Off" and disables HTTP Authentication from working for cPanel and WHM.
