Hello @patelchris97

You would not be able to access a user's files in the browser by going to hostname/filename

You can access a user's public_html files by going into the user's cPanel>>Files>>File Manager. As the root user from list accounts, you have access to all the accounts on the server.

ok thanks for your reply!
but is there’s no public_html/document root for my whm hostname?

as in i mean somewhere i can upload a file and browse it on internet with my hostname serving as “domain”

e.g __ Hostname “repo.example.com/file_i_uploaded.php” and its should open in browser instead of showing “repo.example.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi" template error page

Hello @patelchris97

The hostname would not be allowed to serve files in this manner as it is a security issue. If you wanted to do this in a domain you could but you wouldn't be able to reach it from the hostname.
