Use migration feature to clone pre-created cPanel based sites?

I'm working on setting up a reseller system for VPS which does not currently have a working plug in system for cPanel or WHMCS.

What I'm thinking of doing is creating a cPanel based VPS then creating a reseller account on it with whmcs pre-installed. Then, when we need to setup a reseller we would use the migration feature in cPanel to clone the reseller account complete with whmcs to another cPanel based server. Once there, we would change the domain name and perform the required changes to whmcs, make sure the reseller name servers are working, etc.

Ideally this will give each Reseller their own cPanel reseller account w/ their own domain, email / ftp/ mysql, whmcs and name servers. The advantages of this over just performing a clean install of everything for each reseller would be to save a great deal of time. WHMCS would be installed and configured to connect to the VPS node, cPanel would be setup and fairly easy to configure since we can just change the domain name and it will change all the required elements, etc.

It won't eliminate having to perform some manual configuration but it should simplify it quite a bit and make it easier.

Any suggestions or problems w/ this?
