I've completed the setup on a new server. I have rsync/scp setup between the two servers.
    My question is this.
Would it be better to use the transfer tool to copy all accounts to the new server or copy all the nightly backups from today to the new server then use the Restore from backup. I have 7.9GB in the /backups/2017-01-06/accounts folder.

    Thanks for the input.

Or set backups on the old server to send them over to the new server overnight for you automagically, so you can restore them manually from there, would work. On the other hand, the Transfer Tool does a few more things you might want to know about:

    Thanks guys.
One thing I am searching for is how to command line restore my backup file after I transfer it.
    # scp /backup/2017-01-13/accounts/user.tar.gz server1:/home
I am placing the backup file in /home to try to use /scripts/restorepkg user but this fails. Reading the document it appears to only work with a single backup file from /scripts/pkgacct

In my server2 I have backups enabled with Backup Configuration and files are stored in my drive /backup/DAY/accounts folder. I am on WHM 11.60.0.34

How could I install the backup from the command line?

Update. looks like it works properly if I use /scripts/restorepkg --force user.tar.gz
