User-defined functions NOT allowed by my host?

Hi folks,
I'm completely new in shared web hosting, and my site is hosted with JustHost..
I find that I couldn't CREATE any user-defined functions in phpMyAdmin, because such rights had been disabled. How can I get around this, or can't I?
