Lately, cpanel is sending messages to the wrong address.
When tries to alert a client that his mailbox is almost full, is sending a message to user@host instead of user@domain.tld which, of course, returns Unrouteable address

Why is doing this and how can I fix it?

Allready search the forums, haven't found a way to solve it.

    Dear marius,

Please check what you have given as the main contact address in the accounts cpanel. That could be a reason why mail is going for some wrong address.

    Regards,

Re: RE: user@host instead of user@domain

in whm when listing accounts, ALL accounts have as contact user@hostname and that will send an email to the user x hosted on the server. the email will get in the main account email. but why does returns unroutable address? the user exists so it shouldn't be a problem.

anyhow, latelly this kind of errors stoped. i'll keep monitoring it.

    thanks
