I copied a account from ssh to another account. Everything works ok put the permissions on the files I moved to the new domain have root permissions and user permissions from the other domain. How to change the permissions so when I ftp into the new domain I can copy/edit/delete files and create directories?

should be this for new moved account.

    owner 32058
    group 558

    But it shows this

    owner 0
    group 0

How to change that for public_html directory and all files and sub directories under it?

    cd /home/user/

    chown user.user public_html

Replace "user" in the above example with the username of the account in question.

Ok tried this it changed public_html dir to right ownership and group but nothing under it? How to chown all files and dir's under it?

you will need to use the -R switch (which makes chown work recursively) e.g. cd public_html chown -R user.user * (to match all files / dirs)
