Username taken?

    I have successful terminate the account,i would like to create the account back using the same username,but the cpanel say that the username has already taken,what can i do to clear all the things about this username before create it back?

    Location:
    kernel
    check if the username exists in the /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow
    remove the lines from that files.
    Remove the home directory...
    and create the account again.

    I can't find there is directory in /etc which are called passwd or shadow~

    /etc/group

    also can't find the directory.

    passwd and shadow are files not directories

    If those files are not in the /etc directory, use the find command in shell to find those files.

    Okay, type the following commands see what you get.

    cd /etc
    ls -l passwd

    ls -l shadow
