I run a server (server.com) with several other users who have their own domain name.

I have someone else interested in getting some space from me, the problem is they don't have a domain name and they don't want to buy one.

Normally I could set them up as server.com/~username but this won't work since I have open_basedir enabled (their site uses php and returns errors unless I turn off open_basedir).

Is there any way to set them up as a subdomain so their site is displayed as username.server.com? This is also a lot more convienent to type.

you can always disable the open_basedir for some specific users. check the security setting for this at WHM.

u can disable for the user you create for this customer.

    Just create a new account.

    subdomain.yourdomain.com

Then create the username for the user and such...and they will get there own cpanel.

    Its pretty easy.

    Cheers!
