users cannot connect with cpanel using a certain provider

Hi There

Some of my users have taken a connection with a new internet access conectivity
provider, however now they cannnot access thier mail or cpanel, according to the service
provider my server needs to allow access to a dynamic IP,s - I have never heard of this before.
could somone please help

I am running the latest cpanel release version with apf firewall

Cpanel by default and APF by default will allow dynamic IPs with no problem. It has nothing to do with what IP accesses your server. The ports used for Cpanel are 2082 and 2083 and webmail is 2095 and 2096, they have to allow those ports to be accessed directly through their firewall. The only time we have had clients not able to access their Cpanel was when their provider firewalls were blocking the Cpanel ports.

Nothing really if the service provider is blocking the ports, or least nothing you should probably try to do.

This will probably help, some places block ports with firewalls and the above will get you around it. It is simple to install :) No I have nothing to do with the project, just set it up for our resellers that might be behind firewalls and it works.

This would be a good start, now I would just need to find a way for them to pop thier mail
and access ftp :)
