    Most of my servers did the CURRENT upgrade fine, including the maildir conversion. But I've got one server that is acting funny. Users are complaining they get the same email two or three times when they download the email.

    I'm seeing every user hit the maillog three times... pretty consistently... it looks like this:

    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGIN, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123]
    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGIN, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123]
    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGIN, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123]
    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGOUT, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123], top=0, retr=0, time=0
    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGOUT, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123], top=0, retr=0, time=0
    May 24 01:18:00 server_name pop3d: LOGOUT, user=user@domain.com, ip=[::ffff:123.123.123.123], top=0, retr=0, time=0

    I tried a little test where I did a telnet to port 110 on the box and logged in with a test account. Sure enough, I got three entries for my login.

    Is there something on the server that would cause a single connection to the pop3 or imap to be treated like three simultaneous connections?

    I'm not exactly sure what the problem was. I know I had a failed maildir conversion on that server, but not sure if that was related.

    My problem got fixed by ConfigServer. We needed upgrades to the mailscanner and spam filtering, so I got the cpanl+mailscanner package from them. I've been very pleased with the results.
