    Hi,

AutoSSL is provided by the cPanel and this feature module renews the SSL for the any domain that is enabled in it.. A free SSL from Comodo is being provided now by the cPanel through AutoSSL. The notification mail you received is part of this SSL renewal..

Will they remove those annoying error messages shown by Outlook regarding not matching SSL certificates?

    Hello,

Yes, this will fix those warning messages for customers using "mail.domain.tld". We document how this works at:

What is Domain TLS - cPanel Knowledge Base - cPanel Documentation
Manage AutoSSL - Version 68 Documentation - cPanel Documentation

As far as the notifications, here's a blog post on the new end-user notifications in cPanel 68:

    Thank you.
