Hello,
This is my example IP’s and configuration below
I have cPanel on server1.domain.com
And setup nameservers: ns1.domain.com IP 123.123.123.100 ns2.domain.com IP 123.123.123.101

I setup in my registrar google domains to use my nameservers instead of googles.
ns1 ns2 for domain2.com

This domain2.com is my main website in cPanel
Now I need to add another server
server2.domain.com
And
2 sub domains on another server:
(This is for another program that requires Ubuntu OS )
The sub domains need to be
Chat.domain2.com
Video.domain2.com

Would I go to my registrar and add:
ns3.domain.com new ip for Ubuntu
ns4.domain.com new up for Ubuntu
At my domain.com
Then add in domain2.com ns3 ns4

And add chat.domain2.com new IP
Video.domain2.com new IP in domain2.com
And it should work ?

Thanks if someone can point me in the right direction

Spiro

If you host your domain name (i.e domain.com and domain2.com) on your server(s) then yes you would need to update the nameservers accordingly and once the propagation done, any subdomains you create under domain.com and domain2.com will be working automatically.

Hi. So domain2.com will reside in cPanel server but sub1.domain2.con and sub2.domain2.com would reside in Ubuntu server.
So what I’ve outlined above should work this way
Sorry for double checking
Thanks again for your reply

As long as the DNS records point to the correct system I'd expect it to work just fine.
One last question
Do
I need to use 2 different ip’s one for each sub.domain.com or can I use only 1 IP for both sub domains ?
thank you
