I haven't found anything that really answers the question (or at least a response within 1-2 years):

Can you use both cPanel's mail server for some accounts, while using Office 365 for others?

O365 requires you to pay between $4.00-$12.95 per license. For the accounts like info@mydomain.com, webmaster@mydomain.com, billing@mydomain.com I don't really want to buy them licenses. For my staff emails, I'd like to use O365.

Does anybody know of a way to make these email accounts coexist? Either with settings on the O365 side or the cPanel side.

    Thanks!

You cannot setup MX records per email account, its per domain so there is no way to tell the emails where to go based on email, only domain.
