Hi,

One of my client using dial-up to connect to internet so the IP he use always changing.
If i want to install Brute Force Detection (BFD) to server i'm afraid that he can't login to his SSH account because i read on some forum about Brute Force Detection (BFD) :

"If your internet connection IP is dynamic this is not a good idea, and you should get a static IP"

Please give me information, can i install BFD without lockout my client ?

wheather it is a dynamic ip has nothing to do with BFD It will only lock the ip out if it has X amount of faild logins

if you are that worried about it white list the bock of ips that your client logs in on i log in via dynamic ip all the time no problems here
