I have an issue that has mne scratching my head. I would like to backup my server, to a box inside my home.
I have port 21 forwarded correctly, and can connect to the FTP server and transfer a file as if I was uploadeing a webpage. SO it all work just fine.

But when cPanel tries to transfers files, I get the following output:
Code:
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:56:59 AM - xxxxx (ip)> 230 Logged on
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:56:59 AM - xxxxx (ip)> TYPE I

(000260) 5/3/2010 7:56:59 AM - xxxxx (ip)> MKD cpbackup

(000260) 5/3/2010 7:56:59 AM - xxxxx (ip)> MKD cpbackup/daily

(000260) 5/3/2010 7:57:00 AM - xxxxx (ip)> 202 No storage allocation neccessary.
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:57:00 AM - xxxxx (ip)> PASV
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:57:00 AM - xxxxx (ip)> 421 Can't create socket
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:57:00 AM - xxxxx (ip)> QUIT
(000260) 5/3/2010 7:57:00 AM - xxxxx (ip)> 221 Goodbye
What is real interesting is that cPanel was, initially, able to login and create the backup directories. But it is unable to transfer the files.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? Again, it is Filezilla FTP server

Ok, I'll try that. I had it enabled because it says to have it enabled on an FTP server that is behind a FIREWALL/NAT. But perhaps the port forwarding negates that?
My home router is a Linksys wrt-54g-TM (Basically upgraded wrt54g-L) running DD-WRT firmware.
