I'm using Mailman to create mailing lists on my server. I found that the version of mailman on cPanel is 2.1.3, though this was not clearly listed anywhere that I could see. However, there is no an updated version of Mailman with some bug fixes etc. - 2.1.5 (created on May 15, 2004).

Mailman is installed on my server at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/

So can I just download the latest version to this folder and still expect that cPanel will operate "normally" with it?

Question2: There's a patch for Mailman which adds sequential numbering for messages on the mailing list. Is there a way to request cPanel to add this patch, or again, should I just add it myself in the above mentioned folder?

    thanks for any help!

most likely next cpanel update will override it and you will be back to where you came from

I think you better to use "feature request". I would also love to see that patch included.

    regards,

The latest cpanel builds have 2.1.5. Just upgrade cpanel.
