    Hi guys,

I have one server server now running Cpanel and want to move MySQL to a different server, withing the same DC. On the server that I have atm i have around 120 Wordpress and Joomla websites.

My question is this: after I move MySQL and start using the Remote MySQL feature from WHM, will I have to manually update the configuration files for each website and replace the MySQL location from "localhost" with the MySQL server IP or will WHM take care of it automatically ?

    Thanks.

    Hello :)

You will not have to modify the configuration files for your applications that utilize MySQL. The "Remote MySQL" feature ensures the databases will automatically connect to the remote MySQL server when this feature is enabled.

    Thank you.
