I am thinking of installing SSL certificates in my CPanel servers for ftp and email services to see if I canreduce the warning messages that Outlook, Mac mail and iphone email client shows when a user wants to send and email message.

However I was wondering if I can reuse those certificates on several servers.

Ensure you install the certificate via "WHM >> Service Configuration >> Manage Service SSL Certificates". You can't reuse certificates on multiple servers in most cases (the hostname is going to be different). What type of certificate is it?

Thank you.

The error message is usually because the certicate hostname does not match
the hostname configured in email clients (which is usually mail.customer-domain.com)
so even if I put a Geotrust or Comodo signed certicated it will never match the customer's domain.
Have you considered using the Mail SNI feature and installing individual SSL certificates for each domain name? This feature is documented here:

cPanel - Mail SNI

As far as using the same certificate on multiple servers, isn't the hostname going to be different?

Thank you.
