We are in the process of switching servers and wanted to know if we were to use the Transfer tool to migrate all our domains over to the new server, how would it work if we are transferring from Apache based server (Old server) with Cpanel to an Nginx based server (new) with Cpanel?

Does everything still transfer seamlessly are are extra steps required?

I want to make it as smooth as possible.

We plan to install Nginx via Easy Apache 4 following steps here on the destination server first: NGINX® Standalone | cPanel & WHM Documentation

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. How about going to Standaline Nginx. Is it enough to just follow the instructions outlined here:

I want to totally disable Apache. Will accounts be transitioned over seamlessly if I follow the instructions to use Nginx standalone and disable Apache?

Thanks a lot.

Hello! I cannot make any guarantees using Standalone Nginx; it is part of our experimental repository and we cannot guarantee any functionality. You would want to use ea-nginx to ensure a supported transfer from Apache to nginx.

However, I do understand that you do not wish to have nginx proxy through Apache at all. Unfortunately, there would be no cPanel-supported way of installing standalone Nginx.
