What is it why is there bounced emails in there not in the queue that are months old?

How do you access it and why is there a inbox filling up with mail that goes no where?

    Anybody know?

It is filled with all kind of bounced mail.. Ones not in the queue.
Look in your own box under that directory see for your self it is on 13 of my 14 servers. I am sure I am not the only one with it.

I have one server that does not have that directory on it that server is over 2 years old all the other ones have it.

It is normal bounced emails like you would see in your mail queue but they are not in queue they are here instead that is what I am trying to figure out why and how they got there.

all I'm trying to say is that if you want someone here to help you figure that out you're probably going to have to give more information.

e-mail headers, contents, TO: addresses, maillogs, error messages, anything.

have you filed a trouble ticket with cpanel about it?

Well I am not going to post my servers headers or my customers emails in a public forum. I assume most web host know what a typical bounced email header looks like.

Yes I have submited a trouble ticket but as normal you do not get a reply.

you would censor out sensitive information of course

so it's just completely random? all users's emails on the server and not just one or anything like that?

you know what, webmail runs as cpanel, and so webmail e-mails would be sent with the header Return-Path: cpanel@yourserver.com and so bounces would go back to it.

Yes it is random users that is what I am trying to find out if it is webmail or Horde bounces that are being held.

Makes sense it would be but I was hoping someone form cpanel would come along and tell me or someone that knows what it is for sure.

Well I found it is Horde bounced mail.

All email sent form horde that bounces is returned to this file and not to the sender so they never know the email bounced.

SO now the question is how do I fix so it returns to the sender or to horde and not just sit in this file?

    NICK help!

I have exactly the same problem on my server. If you ever find a fix, please post it here.

    Thanks.
