Is this fix still necessary ? On one of my servers this cron is commented out:
#59 22 * * * (/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/fix-cpanel-perl; /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/upcp --cron > /dev/null)
and replaced with
59 22 * * * /etc/upcp_control
I have another server that is still using the "fix" cron
Both servers are on the same version of CPANEL (84.0.9)

Hi,

The /etc/upcp_control entry is not one of our entries. I suspect your hosting provider or someone else made that change. The "fix" entry is to ensure a catastrophic error doesn't prevent your system from receiving needed updates (especially since the upcp utility can fix a lot of those problems).
