I have an issue with my main database. I tried to upgrade from MariaDB 5 to MariaDB 8, but I encountered some issues :
mysql has failed. Contact your system administrator if the service does not automagically recover.
Mysql did not start up after upgrade; there may be a problem in /etc/my.cnf. at /usr/local/cpanel/Whostmgr/Mysql/Upgrade.pm line 855.
Obtained version information from system.
Proceeding with MySQL/MariaDB upgrade despite the following:
Normal: The selected MySQL version (8.0) is the same as the currently installed MySQL version (8.0). No upgrade will be performed at this time, though the normal upgrade steps will still be executed. This is only useful if a previous upgrade failed while partially completed.

Hello,

Have you checked the MySQL error log for more details about the issue? Usually, the MySQL error log will be in /var/log/mysqld.log or within /var/lib/mysql/, but you can check /etc/my.cnf to see if there is a custom error log location. If you can post some of the recent errors to this ticket, I would be happy to see if I can provide any further insight.
