    Hi.

So recently on my server, One of the account is running processes
like this. There is like 40+ of these. They go away but they keep coming back
and raise my Load AVG. Fortunately, even tho the load avg is 70-90-100 at times
when this is running, my sites are running fast as they should.

I have 128 GB RAM server with 2x 480 GB SSD from OVH.

    Code:
    3.12 0.00 /usr/sbin/exim -odi -Mc 1cH07C-00060P-LU
    22509 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0

    3.05 0.00 /usr/sbin/exim -odi -Mc 1cH075-0005qW-KS
    22955 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0

    2.95 0.00 /usr/sbin/exim -odi -Mc 1cH07A-0005xh-5Z
    21243 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0

My question is- What is Causing this process?
How can i reduce the load avg?

    Thanks for your help.

Feel free to open a ticket to cPanel Technical Support.

I think I'd take a closer look at the account. Is Spam Assassin enabled on the server?

I am not sure if SpamAssasin is enabled but... the account doesn't have permission to send any mail. The package i have put account can send 0 emails.

So this processes is caused by account trying to send emails?

You might want to check the reports:
WebHost Manager »Email »Mail Delivery Reports

You can find the Spam Assassin configuration page here:
WebHost Manager »Service Configuration »Exim Configuration Manager

I did cPanel update now the processes mentioned above are not showing up.. instead i see
    Code:
    sapanel 0 29.66 0.09 dovecot/lmtp
    1758 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0 28.77 0.09 dovecot/lmtp
    1776 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0 26.76 0.08 dovecot/lmtp
    1803 (Trace) (Kill) sapanel 0 26.38 0.08 dovecot/lmtp

processes like this from that same account..

what is dovecot/lmtp mean? i googled but too many variying answers

    Also. I have
Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed set to "0" ZERO for that user.

cPanel versions 58 and later uses Dovecot as the local mail delivery agent. Exim, the mail transfer agent (MTA), receives inbound messages, connects to Dovecot via LMTP (Local Mail Transport Protocol), and Dovecot delivers the message.

Earlier versions of cPanel use Exim as both the mail transfer agent and the local delivery agent.

You cannot use the Max hourly emails per domain setting to disable email for an account or domain. Instead, you'd need to use the suspend_outgoing_email WHM API 1 command for that purpose:

WHM API 1 Functions - suspend_outgoing_email - Software Development Kit - cPanel Documentation

    Thank you.
