D00d you need to find yourself a decent sys admin....
Can you get a megabyte breakdown of the root of your server there so we can analyze it.
Remember also to restart apache after you kill domlogs or logs related to the webserver... it will greatly speed up the process of the system recognizing the change in file structure.

(the kit directory you mentioned)
