Due to poor partitioning, my /var is only 251MB large. Currently, /var is at 97%. The main space hogs are as follows:

    22MB --- /var/spool/exim/input
    26MB --- /var/spool/up2date
    135MB --- /var/lib/mysql

Can I create links for these directories? Or will there be problems associated with that. I've heard that problems may arise for mysql having to go through a link.
Any help will be much appreciated, especially if it comes before WHM shuts down to prevent "something bad from happening" :)

    Thanks in advance.

    Update: If anyone is interested

I tried creating a link for mysql. it didn't work. mysql won't create the socket file -- therefore it wouldn't start.

Since I couldn't get mysql's datadir to change, I moved some of the larger databases to /usr/local/mysql/ and then created links to them in /var/lib/mysql and it works perfectly. /var is down to about 71% now from 97%.
