I've found that cpanel stores bandwidth stats (one line per day) in the /var/cpanel/bandwidth directory. Does anyone have a clear idea what each type of file represents. I noticed that if you add up the entries in .com/.org/.edu it will match what cpanel displays as the bandwidth usage but there are also per user files and .rrd files as well.

I'm a little worried that with enough users it may take too long to process these files (if cpanel uses them) and wether or not I should be deleting them. The files do not appear to be ordered by date so I see no way of streaming the data out of them in a reliable way without looking through the whole file.

The main reason I am interested is because I am using cpanel as a backend to a CMS i have written and I would like to use these logs to compute bandwidth usage per user. If they are not ordered or rolled, I can see even a nightly cron job becoming too time consuming with enough domains/accounts.
