Hello,

Trying to configure max emails on a domain-by-domain basis, and the vaunted /var/cpanel/maxemails file contains this solitary line:

# This file is no longer in use, please update the MAX_EMAIL_PER_HOUR in the /var/cpanel/users/USER file

Now, easy enough to add that line, however there is NO documentation that I can find that tells you whether "0" is "unlimited", or "no mails" per hour. Anyone utilize this method to limit hourly outbound mails?

There is an easy simple way to do it.
Just open your WHM, see in Server Configuration, and click Tweak Settings.
Find the link "The maximum each domain can send out per hour (0 is unlimited) " (the 6th line in Mail category), fill the number and submit.
You're done ;)

That covers *ALL* domains. I think I've figured out a means though, even without documentation on that "MAX_EMAIL_PER_HOUR" directive.

We will be adding a MAX_EMAIL_PER_HOUR-[domain] in the next maintenance update (once approved by QA) to 11.28. In the mean time updating /var/cpanel/maxemailsperdomain/[DOMAIN] should be the best way to accomplish this (as long as you don't modify the account in whm the value will stick)

Thanks in advance.
