I'm getting this in my daily Logwatch:

    BAD FILE MODE (cron/nobody)
    BAD FILE MODE (cron/apache)

    Looks like this:

    ---------- 1 root root 0 Jul 25 21:50 apache
    -rw------- 1 root root 1430 Jul 25 21:54 mailman
    ---------- 1 root root 0 Jul 25 21:50 nobody
    -rw------- 1 root root 424 Jul 31 23:39 root

I've tried (as root) to do all of the following without success (permission denied):

    chmod u+rw /var/spool/cron/nobody
    chattr -i /var/spool/cron/nobody
    rm /var/spool/cron/nobody

Can anyone tell me how to change the permissions on those 2 files?

What is the output of lsattr?

    lsattr /var/spool/cron/nobody ?

    lsattr -d /var/spool/cron/ ?
