I would like to create a secure access area on my website and have the login/pass to that to be the same as the user's cPanel login. Rather than use a cron job to duplicate /etc/shadow into a world-readable file, I was hoping there was a (built-in?) function in WHM that I could use to check a user/pass, such as /scripts/chkpass, and I could use a reseller access hash and curl/sockets to connect.

But alas, I cannot find such a built-in script or module. I tried putting a test perl script in /scripts/ that would just echo "foo", but WHM refused to access it.

    Any thoughts, anyone?
