    Hello,

I just got an email from a customer about Verisgn SSL updates:

    http://verisign.com/support/vendors/exp-gsid-ssl.html

I followed the instructions found here:

    https://www.verisign.com/support/site/caReplacement.html

    Here is what I did:

    1) I create the new file but name it a tad diff. Instead of

    /etc/ssl/crt/intermediate.crt

    I save it as

    /usr/share/ssl/certs/www.domain_with_cert.com.cabundle

    2) Now, I go in, and under his SSL virtual host tag I add this in httpd.conf:

    SSLCACertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/www.domain_with_cert.com.cabundle

    3) I restart apache and error persists

Does anyone know anything avout this? Does everyone have Verisgn SSL stores working but me?

Thanks for any ideas or input on the matter...

    Regards...

    tried it via WHM

This is what I've done, via WHM

    1. Reinstall cert. I entered for domain_with_cert.com from the DEc 03 copies from Verisign:

    certificate
    private key

    2. I also put the intermediate key (which I got from Verisign's support page) into the third window.

It says it successfully installed and restarted httpd but...
    no change in the problem.

However the date still shows as valid from Dec 2003 to 1/3/2004!!!

    :(

Ok Darren helped me out and it was nothing more than my client etering the old cert. He sent me correct one and I installed it for him and it worked.

FYI, this was a cool FAQ Darren shared with me. I figured folks may like to know about it if they don't.
