Greetings All...First post as I have never really needed help before, which is good. :)

Server I am having an issue with is running Centos 6.6

This morning I woke up to find...

Version change from “11.50.0.19” to “11.50.0.20” failed during updatenow.

    The issue reported...
    Code:

    IPC -> /opt/cpanm_local/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-64int/IPC

/opt is there, however cpanm_local is not in that directory thus the reset of the path is no good also. In the opt directory it shows...

Now the interesting thing is that on another older Cpanel server, running the same build but under Centos 5.11, I find, which may be correct for Centos 5 for all I know, IPC is in fact it's own directory and not a virtual link to somewhere else. In that directory I show only...
    Code:
    8 -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4514 Jul 21 2013 Msg.pm

    8 -r--r--r-- 1 root root 4713 Jul 21 2013 SysV.pm

On the server that reported the error, I find Msg.pm here...
    Code:
    /root/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-64int/IPC/Msg.pm

    /usr/lib64/perl5/IPC/Msg.pm

    /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/514/lib64/perl5/5.14.4/x86_64-linux-64int/IPC/Msg.pm

I am kind of lost on this and am looking for guidance. I hope the above made sense.

    Thank you kindly.

Ok, so seeing that the symbolic link to IPC to another area was dead anyway, I made a new IPC directory where it should be. Then I found the same issue inside the "auto" directory that was in there that had another symbolic link to a non-existing IPC and thus killed the and made a new IPC for that.

I ran the fix again and this time it took.

I have no idea where the symbolic links came from or why they were there. But they had worked up to a point or I would have had these errors before this last auto WHM/CPanel update.
