    I'm totally confused, I'm running this:

    WHM 8.5.1 cPanel 8.5.3-S3
    RedHat 7.3 - WHM X v2.1.1

    No, whm news offers me to upgrade to a newever version.

    I take a look at layer2 an it gives me 4 options now.

    But what is the difference between release and stable?
    I thought it should be the same :)

    Edge -> unstable
    Beta -> little unstable
    Release -> latest Stable

    Seems I'm wrong am I?

    And should I stick to 8.5.1?

    Thanks for helping!

    I'm a bit confused myself. At the top of the main frame of my WHM version 8.5.1 it currently says:

    'Update Note If you are updating to 8.7.0 build 52 or later from an earlier build, Web Host Manager may take up to five minutes to restart. This is normal and WHM will continue to function normally after it has restarted. Please Click Here to Upgrade'

    ... but in WHM > Change Update Preferences my setting is for Cpanel/WHM Updates to happen automatically for the latest STABLE releases.

    So my question is - should I go ahead and 'Click Here to Upgrade' (like I think WHM wants me to), or does the fact that my system hasn't been automatically upgraded to 8.7.0 imply that 8.7.0 is not stable yet (in which case, the 'Please Click Here to Upgrade' message should state that this is NOT yet a stable release).

    Thanks for your comments.
