Im concerned on one of my versions. I have Fedora core 3 and cpanel is running at

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-S11
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

I don't have much options on it though, like if I wanted to add more scripts to the accounts Im not able to do that as it doesnt give me options and theirs just a whole lot more that seems to be this version is not the latest?

Now I have another server, with this version

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R4
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

Running Fedora Core as well... How can I get my other server to have this

    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-R4
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    instead of this?
    WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-S11
    Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Please help

That's because you are using the STABLE tree (S)on one server, and RELEASE tree (R) on the other, to change it just go to: WHM > Update Config .

10.8.0-RELEASE-65 is old. The latest version of RELEASE can be seen on http://layer2.cpanel.net which is 10.8.1-RELEASE_30. The latest release of RELEASE has no fewer features that the older versions.

    Versions

Ok so what about this version that he is trying to put me on 10.8.1-RELEASE 4.is that any better than the release 65. if these releases are so old why is he trying to put us (clients) on it? Why doesnt he get the right release and we all can be happy.
Do hosts have to pay for cpanel upgrades?

Yes, there have been many improvements since 10.8.0-RELEASE-65, some of which is detailed in the changelog:
    http://changelog.cpanel.net

You would not be able to update to 10.8.1-RELEASE 4 (which is newner than 10.8.0-RELEASE-65) specifically because updates can only be made to the latest version of the release tree that you use, in your case the version I mentioned previously.
