    Hi,

    A few of my clients wanted to know why Vertex was missing features, so I decided to bring it "up to date". I thought I'd post my new version here to share. *Unoffical*

    Added Features:

    * Addon Scripts
    * IP Deny Manager
    * Simple/Adv. Cron Jobs
    * SSH/Telnet link (with applet)
    * Show mail quota fixed
    * Detailed Bandwidth Statistics
    * Server Status
    * Stripped Plan names (removes resellername_)
    * Cleaned a few things up a bit

    All completly integrated with the Vertex look.

    http://maxispace.net/files/vertex.tar.gz
    Download, click Install a CPanel theme (in WHM), browse to this one ane choose it, then press upload. It will update the older version with these upgrades.

    Wow, a little slow with your updates there. Some of these features have been out for over a month and now the updates comes along?

    dont shoot the messenger...

    sexy_guy:

    Vertex is not a supported theme, from what I can find. I just happened to find this update here, but the tarball didn't work correctly. All I did was fix the tarball so that it can be installed. I didn't add any of the features to Vertex, this was done by the original poster, also not affiliated with the creators of the Vertex theme.

    I agree, that the updates are a long time coming, but lets just thank eprodigy for sharing his work with us. :D

    Hi,

    Some tags were messed up - I thought I'd fixed them all, I might have missed this one. Try this:

    1) SSH as root

    2) cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/vertex

    3) vi status.thml (switch to insert)

    4) Scroll down until you see "<p>& nbsp; </p>" (near bottom) I had to place a space between "&" and "n" to keep the forum from eating it.

    5) Replace "& nbsp;" with "<table align=center border=1 class=tdshade2><cpanel Serverinfo="servicestatus()"></table>"

    6) Save file and exit. Might have to override read-only file.

    7) That should do it. You can make it prettier with table tags,etc but thats the basics. I might do another full update to Vertex once it needs it again.

    msasek: Thanks for updating the tarball - the first one actually worked for me, strange ;)

    Nice job, eprodigy -- and thanks.

    Some things I did find though, neither one of the tarballs would work for me -- tried a few times, but finally had to do it manually -- always got this error msg.: Document contains no data; was using Mozilla if it makes any difference. Also found the Stripped Plan names 'did not' remove resellername so just editted that out. Nice work though, and thanks again for sharing.

    Quite a nice job, some nice additons there. However I've encountered some minor visual problems. On the index page of the theme, upon hovering over the SSH/Telnet and IP Deny Manager, the yelow popup contains EXACTLY the same text. Is there anyway to rectify this problem?

    All you need to do is login with SSH and edit the page? Basic HTML.

    Another thing I notice is:

    My Account > Show my bandwidth usage
    Statistics > Detailed Bandwidth

    Show exactly the same thing? Deleting the first one makes more sense, but does have a tendancy to make the options look small, under "My Account" -- oh well. :)

    Yes, there are a few problems with it - but you can just edit it from SSH, it is just HTML (as long as you leave the tags alone).

    If you aren't comfortable with SSH, just untar on your desktop, edit the files, then retar, and upload.

    /frontend/vertex/cgi/upgradephpbbboard.html : This file is needed to upgrade an XMB forum to PHPBB but it seems the file doesn't exist.

    Does anyone have this file in their vertex theme?
