When using WHM to do a cPanel to cPanel server Account Transfer, with root priviledges, the customer's visitor Counter is broken. Customers will see this on their web page:

Could not write to counter file /var/cpanel/Counters/somename.dat

The solution is to go onto the new server, and look in /var/cpanel/Counters/ and manually change the somename.dat file so that group and owner are both set to the user's account name, and not root.

The Account Transfer feature pulls the counter file over, which is good, but it is leaving the group/owner set to root, which breaks the counter.

This issue is resolved in cPanel 11.25.
Awesome, will look for it soon! (well, being a Stable kinda guy, maybe in 2010...)

I really dislike using the forums to report bugs... is that the official method now? Rumor is that BugZilla is dead or dying?

We prefer bug reports to be tracked through the ticket system. There will be more information available once matters are finalized.
