I have a lot of users accessing the Webmail at their various sites by doing this:

    1) Enter http://username@mysite.com/webmail. Browser will pop up a message saying that authentication is not required and asking whether to continue. Click continue.
    2) When prompted by browser, enter username@mysite.com , then enter password
    3) Screen is presented providing the user with various email options.

This is working fine for everybody except a bunch of folks who just upgraded to Vista. They type in http://theirusername@theirsite.com/webmail and receive an error message that the site does not exist.

I'm about to lose them as clients. Is there a workaround???

    Thanks

Many web browsers have done away with protocol://user:pass@server addressing for security reasons. I would strongly advise against recommending such an address format to customers as it seems web browsers are phasing this out.

Instead, just have users go to http://theirdomain/webmail so when they're prompted for their user/pass, they can simply enter their email address and password.
