Hello, I am using cPanel VPS edition installed on an an ESXi 5 host. ESXi indicates that vmware tools is installed and current, but is not running on the cPanel guest (CentOS 6).

Searching the knowledge base and forums, I didn't see any clear recommendation to run/not run vmware tools. Does the cPanel team or community have any consensus?

    Thanks in advance,
    --Blake

Thanks for the information. I thought it was odd that it was already installed, but not running. I see now it looks like the OS already uses the vmware drivers by default. This was my main concern - ensuring I was receiving optimal performance out of the disk and network interfaces.
