It looks like some perl modules are not getting properly installed to the scripts/cPScripts directory. I copied them over manually from another machine and it seems to be going smoothly.

Someone at cpanel should probably have this fixed soon.

I can't imagine how they release this stuff without testing it.

Can't locate cPScript/RpmUtils.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl . /scripts) at /scripts/ensurerpm2 line 17.

Would anybody be kind enough to make available the working component for those of us doing a fresh install and don't have another server?

Regards,

M.
I tried already to use working servers files when installing, but it didn't do any good.
Looks like that is working only with /scripts/upcp

It's a cPanel issue - either the rsync servers are buggered or something in the script is playing up. Something for them to look at when they all wake up and get to work. In the mean time, it's a question of being patient (which right here is very difficult as you're likely not to be the only one having to get a server set-up quickly for customers to use).

I've updated the installer to include the missing module, but won't be able to test it until later this morning. In the meantime, if you have a hung install, you should be able to halt the installer, run /scripts/updatenow, followed by /path/to/installed/install. That should fetch the missing modules and restart the install.

Initial re-get of latest from layer1 and restarting the fresh install script from the redownloaded installer seems to be doing the trick..

Will continue to monitor and report back here if there is any more trouble.

OK, problem found and fixed. If you have a hung install, just Ctrl-Z it, then run /scripts/updatenow --fromupcp. Then bring the installer back to the foreground (fg). Everything should be fine after that.

Still have the same problem, and nothing seems to help. I'm installing it on Red Hat Enterprise 4 (86), using power edge 1850 ..:(

Same here!

My company decided to use cPanel for their purposes, but we are having problem with installing trial version. Installation falls into infinite loop after it prints out '2...' . Anyone?

(We are using Red Hat Enterprise 4.)
