When I go to the bulletin board of add on cgi script icons in cPanel I get this message:

Warning! the addoncgi feature has been disabled!

Does anybody know how to ENABLE the feature? Why have cPanel disabled it by default but left the icons there? Another half-assed job!

I know about that and the boxes are already checked but I still get the same error.

If you have Feature Manager on and didn't edit the settings, that could be your problem. With the default setting, everything is disabled until you edit it.
