How do I speed up the Unzip?

Fresh Windows 7 install, but I think I'm missing something. I even used the "Create a Web Disk shortcut on your desktop:" script from inside the cPanel webdavaccessdownload.html page.

Is because I'm not connecting VIA SSH - what do you think?
Is there such thing as an "active" or "passive" mode for "Map Network Drive"

    Thank you very much.

It's not a slow connection, I think it has to do with junky code on Win 7. I tried using Winzip, Winrar, 7-Zip and default Explorer Extraction methods and they are all slow. I can navigate very fast between the folder and even cut / cop paste files almost instantly. It just has to do with extraction a zip file in the folder.

My bro said I was doing it all wrong, and I should be using SSH to send the decompress command to my linux server. I stopped playing around with it and just said truck it. I was using a fresh Win 7 format too with all updates / patches.

Your research I'm sure will help others in the future. Thanks again cPanelMichael!
