I tried to set up a Web Disk account for my public_ftp directory. I downloaded and unzipped the Secure WebDisk script, then tried to run it.

When I tried to run the script, first it gave me this message:

"Press Run to run this script, or Quit to quit."

Naturally I pressed Run, and then this message came up:

"You must accept the servers certificate to be able to connect! Please try again"

So I have absolutely no idea what to do, or what certificate is being referenced. Please help me!

    Web Disk

My company has provided web disk access to its server for their clients ...

Now each individual having web disk username and password . Now, shall the client itself can change the password for their webdisk access. It would be better id they can change their password by their own for their privacy.........

Is there any option for it.

I am using cPanel and my OS windows 2000

    Thanks in Advance

I know we've had some issues with 10.5.3, but not so much with 10.4 recently. Contact your hosting provider regarding this. If you are the web hosting provider, contact cPanel support.

By client, you mean cPanel user or the individual webdisk user that may not have access to cPanel/WHM?

Oh no!!! I just promised one of our Mac using hosted members that we could set up webdisk for him for single click publishing from his iWeb program, and suddenly I am finding that there is just do way to get this to work using OSX 10.5.3. The disk image never mounts properly on the desktop, and any files uploaded to the webdisk end up with zero K, i.e. all content stripped!

And yes, I find that it works using OSX 10.4 just fine.

Hope a fix is in the works, like in the next hour or so when we need to meet with this client!

    Am currently using:
    WHM 11.23.0 cPanel 11.23.3-R25133
    REDHAT Enterprise 5.2 i686 on standard - WHM X v3.1.0

We are still investigating the issue with 10.5.3. Everything with webdisk works great on 10.5.0 through 10.5.2 though.

The latest CURRENT will work with 10.5.3 without ssl, we aren't able to get it working though ssl (yet .. hopefully) as it always seems to send 0 length files for some reason.

    Change of WebDisk password

    Hi David,

I meant not the cPanel user only the individual webdisk user that may not have access to cPanel/WHM.

Can the individual webdisk user can change therir password. When click the webdisk it asks for only the individual user account and password information. But there is no change of password option.

Can u guide me in this.

    Please immediate help is needed

    Regards
    MMC.Nayagi :)

WebDisk relies on the WebDav protocol. As far as I know, that protocol does not inherently support the changing of passwords. As a result, you need to set and change passwords via the cPanel interface for your WebDisk users.

I am having a similar problem with WebDisk hosted on my account at rails playground.

I am running OS X 10.5.6 on an Intel MacBook Pro.

Yes, I tried the downloaded file with and without SSL. Both exhibited the same behavior
    -- disk mounts fine
    -- I can browse directories
-- I can copy files from the remote (rails playground) side to the local side
-- I can NOT copy files from the local side to the remote side

I get an error "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "" could not be read or written (Error code - 36)

I ALSO tried directly mounting the remote disk by
    "Go" menu
    "Connect to Server"

    and supplying
    http://www.xxx-my-domain-xxx.com:2077

    as the location

That mounts the drive and I can browse copy files from remote to local. However when I try to copy files up from local to remote, the file is created, but it has size 0 (none of it's data is copied over).
