hello, getting the following error log messages from my cpanel:

[client ...] File does not exist: /home/domain/public_html/404.shtml
[client ...] File does not exist: /home/domain/public_html/robots.txt
[client ...] File does not exist: /home/domain/public_html/favicon.ico

are these errors serious? do they influence search engine indexing (robots.txt)? thank you for your help.

no worries.. someone is accessing these files.. but is getting 404 as they dont exist !

am not sure of the search engine part.. but if these access are heavy, then you might want to install some anti-dos modules.

It sounds like you're having the same problem I've been having.

Take a look at my thread "Does anybody know these IP's?" in New User Questions. I got a lot of useful answers from experienced CP'ers.

If you can't find it, do a Search, Advanced Search, then search for user id: xray, then click on "Does anybody know these IP's?" You'll probably find the info re-assuring.
