Sorry Mate, don\'t want to discourage you, but this forum is for the Cpanel/WHM-converted, Cpanel/WHM users, Cpanel/WHM programmers, Cpanel/WHM using Webhosting companies and resellers and other Cpanel/WHM related individuals, groups etc... ;)

You will find endless discussions and comparisons of the kind you\'re after in www.webhostingtalk.com.

All the best.

We use both here at OCHosting. We started off using plesk because of hearing about how buggy cpanel is... Then after about 4-5 months of putting up with plesks panel and it not offering what we need we decided to get a cpanel box. So far i love cpanel, Wish the support for it was as good as plesk. Seams their is like maybe 4 people on this board sometimes and i wish they had phone support.

We still run both CP\'s. Plesk runs well for what it is i guess. Cpanel has alot more features and in my opinion has with a true Webhost needs.

CPanel is buggy, never used Plesk yet. Unless your willing to build your own you have to put up with something. Its powerful, just really badly packaged. Plesk looks slick, CPanel IS slick.

My 2 Cents AGAIN! :-}

I have not used Plesk from a Admin\'s perspective but I have used it when working for a client or two. I found it to not be very intuitive and felt newbie clients would have a heck of a time with the learning curve.

For me this was a bad thing as I needed to give my clients the ability to manage their sites without me.

It is cheaper but upgrades are only covered for a short period and then you pay again. Granted the upgrade fee is much less than the initial cost but I prefer to just pay my monthly fee for CPanel and forget it. All upgrades are taken care of.

Just my 2 Cents & I\'m stickin\' to it! :cool:

Cpanel gets an A+ for flexibility...

True it is sometimes buggy... lacks a help section, lacks support ....

Yet, it is the only cpanel I have heard of where you can request a feature and get it included almost immediately... that gets several updates a day at time...

Being able to communicate the with the person in charge of developping the tool you are using is essential if you need to have your needs met... :)
